Services

Everything we do for a UK startup, in one place.

Compliance on a fixed monthly fee, and the specialist work priced per job — R&D claims, SEIS and EIS, EMI schemes and share structures. No percentages, no hourly billing.

The short answer
Two things: a fixed monthly fee covering all your compliance — bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, year-end accounts, corporation tax and the confirmation statement — and specialist startup work priced per job, including R&D tax relief claims, SEIS and EIS, EMI share schemes and share restructures.

Most accountancy firms sell you a monthly fee and then quote separately, and late, for anything that turns out to matter. We would rather you could see the whole thing before you commit, which is why every price on this site is published.

The monthly fee is banded on turnover and starts at £49 + VAT. It covers the work that has to happen whether or not anything interesting is going on. The specialist work below is what an early-stage company actually needs on top, and it is priced per job because that is how it happens — a claim, a round, a scheme, a restructure.

The work that has to happen anyway

Bookkeeping

Kept current in FreeAgent through the year, which is what makes the year-end accounts and the tax forecast accurate rather than a reconstruction.

Bookkeeping

VAT

Registration timed on your actual customer mix, the right scheme chosen on your numbers, and every quarterly return filed under Making Tax Digital.

VAT services

Accounts, corporation tax and payroll

Year-end statutory accounts and the CT600 filed, the confirmation statement, directors’ Self Assessment, and payroll with pensions auto-enrolment for your first hires.

What comes with it

Business banking

A free Mettle account by NatWest where it fits — and the page says plainly who it does not fit, because it rules out a good number of funded startups.

When you outgrow compliance

The ladder above it

Management accounts and advisory from £375 + VAT a meeting cycle; investor-ready forecasts and business plans from £1,200 + VAT; and a Virtual Finance Office from £750 a month rising to a Virtual Finance Director from £2,000, which replaces the banded fee entirely. There is also a page for each sector we work in, setting out where the relief actually lands in your field.

One fixed monthly fee, and everything else priced before it starts.
